Chapter History
The Zeta Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha was founded at the University of Tennessee on June 14, 1904. We are the 6th link on the Zeta Tau Alpha's Chain of Chapters and the oldest link within this chain that has never been broken.
A little more about our History:
- In 2023 we raised over $68,000 for our Philanthropy, Breast Cancer Education & Awareness. In the past two years we have raised over $100,000 making our chapter a part of the "Founder's Club."

Our members have accrued over5 20,000 service hours and achieved the highest number of service hours in the Panhellenic Community.

Our members hold an average GPA of 3.54.

Zeta Chapter has been recognized as Crown Chapter every year since 2016.

In 2023 our chapter achieved all 100 SOFE points, which makes our chapter the first to do so in OSFL history and earning chapter of the year!

In 2024, Zeta chapter won the Vallera Cloff Ross Panhellenic Award! This silver award was given to us due to our involvement in the Panhellenic Community. This is a huge accomplishment our chapter has been working towards for a long time!

Alumni Amanda Inman started an organization called Helping Hands which is a service organization - Many of our members are a part of this, but anyone at UTK can join!
